The political atmosphere is intense worldwide today. There is always a tussle for power in politics, ideologies, institutions, from BJP and Congress to Democrats and Republicans, it’s is the competition to prove who is the best.
As an aspirant of SAT or ACT, you shall have a similar tug of war in your mind but at the micro level. At such a juncture, it is important for you as an aspirant to understand the key SAT vs ACT, the two main examinations.

While both SAT and ACT are considered to be standardised tests, SAT is generally inclined toward Aptitude based nature and you need to be much more analytical in your approach to ace SAT while ACT is more direct and checks your understanding of high-school knowledge and capabilities.

The new SAT is designed without the section of Science while we know that Science section forms an integral part of ACT exam.
[special_heading type=”h2″ underline=”yes”] 3) THE ESSAY DIFFERENCES:-[/special_heading]
Both ACT and SAT have the essay sections. While we observe that ACT essays ask for arguments from students based on complex issues SAT essays ask you to evaluate the key points.

While the ACT permits the use of a calculator for all the Math Section questions, there is a separate segregation for non-calculator and calculator-based questions in SAT.

The time duration for ACT is 3 hours, 40 minutes (with essay) and 2 hours, 55 minutes (without essay). While the duration for SAT is 3 hours 50 minutes with essay and 3 hours without an essay. The New SAT gives a broader time limit and it has been design to be less complex.

There are 4 reading passages in ACT while there are 5 reading passages in SAT.

The ACT exam is always score on a scale of 1-36 while SAT is score on a scale of 400-1600.
Other important parameters are as follows:-
- ACT tests limited vocabulary as compared to SAT
- Colleges can view SAT scores while students can send their best ACT scores
- Most of the questions are multiple-choice questions EXCEPT FEW MATHS QUESTIONS in SAT.
- THERE IS NO NEGATIVE MARKING IN BOTH SAT & ACT.
