What is an AP Psychology Course?
Students in the Advanced Placement Psychology (online) course learn about the scientific and systematic study of human behaviour and mental processes. Students investigate and apply psychological theories, concepts, and phenomena associated with such topics as the biological bases of behaviour, sensation and perception, learning and cognition, motivation, developmental psychology, testing and individual differences, treatments of psychological disorders, and social psychology while considering the psychologists and studies that have shaped the field. Students use psychological research methodologies, including ethical concerns, throughout the course as they apply the scientific process, evaluate claims and evidence, and successfully express ideas.
Prerequisites about the course
For AP Psychology, there are no prerequisites. Students should be able to read a college textbook and compose full sentences that are grammatically accurate.
